Five-Vegetable Chowder with Cooked Ham

Ingredients
- 1 bag (2 kg) Arctic Gardens Mixed Vegetables (5)
- 6 cups (1 kg) Arctic Gardens Diced Potatoes
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) Butter, unsalted
- 2 cups (500 ml) Onions, chopped
- 1 cup (250 ml) All-purpose flour
- 24 cups (6 liters) 2% milk
- 1 cup (250 ml) Extra lean cooked ham, julienned
- 1 tsp (5 ml) Curry powder
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) Dill, chopped
- 1 tsp (5 ml) Sea salt
- 1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) Ground black pepper
- 1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) Garlic powder
This recipe can also be done with Arctic Gardens Mixed Vegetables (5) 2 x 4,55 kg .
Preparation
- In a large pot, melt butter.
- Add onion, potatoes, and ham. Cook for 3 minutes.
- In a large bowl, add the flour and incorporate the cold milk a little at a time.
- To this mixture, add the onions, potatoes, and ham. Stir well.
- Add the 5-vegetable mix to the pot.
- Bring to a low boil.
- Add the remaining ingredients.
- Continue simmering for 10 minutes.
