Lentil Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredients
- 16 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 100 ml of olive oil
- 500g of Arctic Gardens Spaghetti Sauce Mix
- 4 x 796 ml (28 oz) of tomatoes, diced
- 2 x 156 ml (5 ½) of tomato paste
- 540 ml (19 oz) of tomato juice
- 2 x 540 ml (19 oz) of Arctic Gardens Lentils , drained and rinsed
- 4 bay leaves
- 12 cloves, wrapped in a square cheese cloth
- 20 ml of salt
- 10 ml of dried oregano
- 10 ml of dried basil
- 2 à 4 ml of chili pepper flakes (powder)
- 30 ml of fresh parsley, chopped
This recipe can also be done with Arctic Gardens Lentils 2.84L .
Preparation
- Sauté garlic in oil until golden.
- Add remaining ingredients except parsley.
- Cover and simmer gently, stirring occasionally for about an hour or until desired consistency is reached.
- Remove bay leaf and cloves.
- Correct seasoning.
- Add parsley.
- Serve on spaghetti.
