Ingredients

  • 16 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 100 ml of olive oil
  • 500g of Arctic Gardens Spaghetti Sauce Mix
  • 4 x 796 ml (28 oz) of tomatoes, diced
  • 2 x 156 ml (5 ½) of tomato paste
  • 540 ml (19 oz) of tomato juice
  • 2 x 540 ml (19 oz) of Arctic Gardens Lentils , drained and rinsed
  • 4 bay leaves
  • 12 cloves, wrapped in a square cheese cloth
  • 20 ml of salt
  • 10 ml of dried oregano
  • 10 ml of dried basil
  • 2 à 4 ml of chili pepper flakes (powder)
  • 30 ml of fresh parsley, chopped

This recipe can also be done with Arctic Gardens Lentils 2.84L .

Preparation

  1. Sauté garlic in oil until golden.
  2. Add remaining ingredients except parsley.
  3. Cover and simmer gently, stirring occasionally for about an hour or until desired consistency is reached.
  4. Remove bay leaf and cloves.
  5. Correct seasoning.
  6. Add parsley.
  7. Serve on spaghetti.
